The wife of the new First Minister started a row by some remarks she made on a radio programme about homosexuality. It somewhat deflected attention from the announcement of the DUP’s new Ministers. Thankfully for her the row was then overshadowed by the debacle over the vote in the House of Commons about the government proposal for the 42 day detention of terrorist suspects.
